    If the pallied-winged grasshopper population decreases dramatically, ideally the food chain would get disrupt as grasshopper being primary consumer is a prey for secondary consumer, like frog for the nutrition. In this situation frog's source of nutrition would delimit and consequently, the food chain is disturbed as the frog would also decrease and snakes consuming frogs will also have less food and their population would also decrease.

    Explanation:

    If any of the organisms has perished or is in low numbers there will be a imbalance, in the ecosystem. However, in reality, the food chain is interconnected to several other food webs. There will be organisms like frog who would feed on crickets to let the chain of energy flow. The food chain in ecosystem is realistic
