Freeze fracture is a technique used to visualize membrane proteins. In this technique, cells are rapidly frozen and then split, separating the lipid bilayer into its two component layers. Transmembrane proteins stay associated with one layer and leave a pit in the other. The fluid mosaic model predicts what kind of pattern of proteins and pits?

Answer: If freeze fracture technique used in the fluid mosaic model we can found membrane proteins are randomly dispersed throughout the phospholipid bilayer and integral transmembrane protein that span entire membrane

    Explanation:

Freeze fracture is a technique which can be used for visualized membrane structure and protein distribution. in this technique first a cell is rapidly frozen in liquid nitrogen. after that it cleaved lipid bilayer. then two section are coated with platinum, then acid is used to dissolve organic material resulting a replica in the surface will be obtained. then replica are view in electron microscope.

we can found protein are embedded in the lipid bilayer.
