Both, Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH) are important as they affect the sex organs. They are produced by the pituitary glands. Both these hormones play important role in puberty, menstruation, and fertility.

Low levels of Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH) can cause secondary ovarian failure. Ovarian follicles may not grow properly and they might not release an egg. As a result, infertility would occur.

Too little FSH and LH have serious effects on woman.

    Explanation:

Follicle stimulating hormone and Leutenizing hormone are produced by the pituitary gland and their adequate levels are necessary for proper reproductive functioning of females. FSH stimulates the production of ovarian follicles from which the egg is released during ovulation. During the first phase of the menstrual cycle the levels of FSH will be relatively high.

LH also facilitates ovulation and the formation of corpus luteum. If the levels of FSH and LH are low in females, this will lead to underdeveloped female sexual characteristics and the ovarian function will be poor. When ovarian follicles do not have adequate growth, the release of egg won't take place. This will lead to infertility.
