    The endochondral ossification is the process that occur in the fetal development of the bones. In this process the cartilage grows systematically and replaced by the bone to develop the skeletal system in the fetus.

    This process generally occurs in three sites called as physis, epiphysis and the cuboidal bones of the tarsus and carpus.

    Hyaline cartilage forms, calcification of bone matrix, formation of the collar, the cavity of medulla appears, secondary ossification of the center appears, and epiphyseal line forms.
