Sensory neuron;

The afferent neuron (neurons in peripheral nervous system) receives the stimuli. These neurons are present in every sensory organ like skin, tongue and eyes so called sensory neuron. These neurons receives the stimulus and convert it to electrical impulse. They send the signal towards the central nervous system

Interneurons;

These neurons are found in central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). These are involved in the conversion of external signal to internal signal for interpretation to produce response.

Motor neurons;

These neurons are efferent neuron that carry signal away from the central nervous system and found in peripheral nervous system. They carry the signal to respective tissue/organs to produce desired response.

Example; Thermal neurons detect the high temperature in external environment and send the stimulus to hypothalamus which activates sweating by sending signal through motor neurons.
