    Explanation: The animal affected has a mitochondrial disease that affects its capacity of ATP production, thus, the animal active transport will be afected since require ATP. On the contrary, the animal passive transport will be functional because its independent of ATP, like osmosis which is water transport in favor of concentration gradient and facilitated diffussion of small molecules.
