If body temperature increased above its normal range but was regulated by a positive feedback loop, what would likely occur?

    Answer: positive feedback would cause the body temperature to increase further

    Explanation: homeostasis is the ability of the body to maintain constant internal conditions, irrespective of the conditions outside the body.

    Homeostasis process can be negative feedback mechanism or positive feedback mechanism.

    It is mostly negative feedback mechanism. in this feedback, the body reduces the effect of a stimuli, to bring the body to it's normal condition.

    In positive feedback mechanism, the body increases the effect of a stimuli.

    In the above case, when positive feedback mechanism is employed, the body temperature would increase further. This can be very fatal to the body.

    In a normal functioning human body, negative feedback mechanism occurs and the body employs means to reduce the body temperature.
