Circular DNA is compacted within the nucleoid of a cell by Histone coiling

The term for two circular DNA molecules is called topoisomers

    Explanation:

The composition of nucleoid involves DNA at a large amount and a minimal amount of protein and RNA. It has circular DNA strands in it and these DNAs are compacted by the histone proteins which results in complex chromatin. Histones are positively charged proteins of eukaryotic cell and it wraps around the DNA like a thread and this is referred as histone coiling.

The unwinding of DNA is done by the process of supercoiling and the helical turn numbers in a DNA is specified by linking numbers. They are changeable and when there is change in number of turns in a two circular molecules of DNA they are considered as topoisomers.
