    Homeostasis is the ability to keep the conditions of it's internal environment constant, regardless of the external environment. it does this either by increasing the effect of a recieves stimuli (positive) or reducing the effect of the stimuli (negative). negative feedback mechanism is used by the body to restore it back to it's normal conditions. majority of homeostatic mechanisms are negative feedback.

    For example the regulation of blood glucose levels which is regulated by the hormones, insulin and glycogen to keep it constant.

    The failure of this homeostasis process would lead to diabetes
