Some liquid products are sold in aerosol cans. Gas is stored in a gas out of the can. Explain why an aerosol can should never be thrown into a fireplace or incinerator.

    The aerosol can is sealed, and under pressure. Place it on a heat source, and the gas inside expands. Upon expansion with no outlet, the vessel may explode.
