As an overall result of the citric acid cycle, NADH atoms are produced.

    Option: (B)

    Explanation:

Citric acid cycle or the Tricarboxylic acid cycle is cellular metabolism of plants for the production of energy and bio-synthesis. The NADH molecules are produced from the reduction of NAD + ion in the krebs cycle/citric acid cycle. NAD + molecules can be reduced in 3 stages. During tranformation of isocitrate to α-ketoglutarato, α-ketoglutarato to succinyl CoA, malate to oxaloacetate, one NAD + ion accepts H + and forms NADH molecule, thus totally three NADH molecules are produced from NAD + ions in citric acid cycle.
