    S phase

    Explanation:

The cell cycle is an important process that is responsible for the division of the cell and thus increases the number of the cells and overall increases the size of the multicellular organisms. The cell cycle is completed into two stages such as in interphase and the other is the mitotic phase. The interphase is completed in the G1 phase, S phase, and the G2 phase. In the G1 phase, the newly formed cells grow, in S phase the replication of the DNA takes place, in G2 phase protein and some other materials synthesized.
