Different coloured dustbins are used in areas so that one waste type can be separated from another.

Mostly, a blue bin is used for materials which can be recycled. For instance, plastic which can be recycled can be placed in this bin. Papers, paints, can of drinks are to be thrown in the blue bins.

In the green bin, waste related to or produced from the living organisms has to be thrown. It is also known as wet waste. For example, tea, coffee, cotton, hair etc are to be thrown in the green bin.
