    False. It was partially because of the increasing popularity of cesarean births in the 20th century that hospitalization of women during the delivery.

    Explanation:

    Although 20th century saw the greatest increase in the human population but the hozpitalization of women during delivery was high due to the popularity of cesarean delivery and control on the mortality rate of the pregnant women due to obstructed labours and other factors causing difficult labour.

    Before this advancement, the death rate of pregnant women in pregnancy or labour-related complications was much higher.
