    -The patient has a low level of oxygen in the blood.

    -blue skin, lips and nails.

    -High levels of carbon dioxide can cause rapid breathing and mind problems such as confusion, constant sleep and loss of consciousness.

    -Decreased effort tolerance

    -Headache

    -redness of the conjunctiva and skin
