Which method of wound healing is one in which wound edges are not surgically approximated and integumentary continuity is restored by granulation?

    Second-intention healing

    Explanation:

    There are two types of wound healing. Primary-intention and secondary intention healing. They both occur in four stages namely; Homeostasis, inflammation, proliferation and remodelling

    In primary-intention healing, it occurs in wounds with dermal edges that are close together example wounds made by a scapel.

    Healing by secondary intention occurs when the sides of the wound are not opposed that is, they are not surgically approximated, therefore healing must occur from the bottom of the wound upwards. That is by granulation, contraction, and epithelialization
