    Earth's energy budget:

The earth's energy budget is nothing but the balance maintained between the energy received from the sun, the energy that is being radiated back into the outer space after being distributed among five components. About 50% of the energy received are being absorbed by the surface of earth that can be lad or oceans. Then 30% will be directly reflected back or returned back to the space by the clouds as the earth's surface has different gases and particles present in it. And the rest 20% is being absorbed by the atmosphere or the clouds. Energy released from the Sun is given out as ultraviolet energy and shortwave light.
