Answer:similar meiosis cell division in oogenesis and spermagenesis.

Explanation: gametogenesis is the production of gamete through meiosis.

In the production of egg, the primordial germ cell forms the oogonia. the oogonia grows into the primary oocyte. the primary oocyte undergoes the first meiosis to give secondary oocyte and a polar body.

The secondary oocyte undergoes the second meiosis the ovum and a second polar body.

In spermatogenesis, the primodial germ cells forms the spermatogonia, which grows into the primary spermatocyte. the primary spermatocyte undergoes the first meiosis to form two secondary spermatocyte. the secondary spermatocyte undergoes the second meiosis to form spermatids, which differentiates into spermatozoa.

Both meiosis division results in haploid male and female gametes.

A functional sperm has a head containing nuclear materials and acrosome for penetrating the egg layers. there is also a midsection that has mitochondria for the production of ATP. the sperm uses it's flagella to swim towards the egg.

A functional egg has a diameter of 0.1mm. it has cortical granules and yolk for nutrition.

It has two membranes; the plasma membrane and the vitelline membrane.
