The food web model because in a food chain. you only see 3 or 4 organisms. But, in a food web, you see several organisms and how they are linked with each other. It shows more biodiversity.

The food web provides a better model of an ecosystem because the food web is a model between MANY different consumers and producers in an ecosystem.
