1. If the amount of DNA in a somatic cell equals C during G1 of interphase, how much DNA is present in the cell during each phase of mitosis and meiosis?

    In mitosis, the DNA replication occurs in S phase, so the amount of DNA increases in S phase and remain double until cell division (karyiokinesis). Meiosis 1 is reductional division and meiosis 2 in equational division. after meiosis the number of chromosome and DNA become half.
