Lipid soluble hormones have intracellular receptors.

    Explanation:

Lipid soluble hormones can cross the core of the membranes of their target cells made up of non-polar tails of the phospholipids. Therefore, these hormones mostly have intracellular receptors. Binding of these hormones to their receptors alters the gene expression. Steroid hormones such as aldosterone, cortisol, androgens and thyroid hormones such as T3 and T4 are some examples of the lipid-soluble hormones. Water-soluble hormones can not cross the core of the membranes and have cell surface receptors.
