    The Cell Theory, proposed by Robert Hooke, has major implications to science, especially to the areas of biology as it is the base and the main principle of this area. This theory states that all living organisms are made up of cells and that cells are essentially the unit of life.

    The proposal of this theory completely transformed science as it became the base of biology. Today, scientists are able to categorize and differentiate living and non-living organisms in regard to cells and their properties as previously (many years ago) people thought that living organisms were able to arise from non-living matter.
