Translation can be described as a process in which proteins are synthesized.

Differences between the prokaryotic and eukaryotic translation are:

In prokaryotes, transcription and translation occur simultaneously. In eukaryotes, transcription and translation are two different process. Transcription occurs in nucleus whereas translation in cytoplasm. In prokaryotes, the 5' end of mRNA is available for translation whereas the mRNA of eukaryotes has to under go changes before translation begins. The ribosome type for prokaryotic translation is 70S and for for eukaryotes is 80 S.
