Earthworms are genetically different from their parents.

    Explanation:

Earthworm is a bisexual organism which belongs to the phylum Annelida.

In an earthworm both male and female reproductive systems are present.

Even though male and female reproductive systems are present in an earthworm it exhibits cross fertilization.

In cross fertilization male gametes of one earthworm fuse with female gametes of other earthworm.

In earthworm male and female mature at different time. Due to this self fertilization is not possible.

Due to cross fertilization earthworms are genetically different.
