Sensory, integrative and motor functions

The nervous system allows us to sense the touch, aroma or any other stimuli. The process includes three steps: the reception of stimulus (sensory function), process the information (integrative function) and output (the motor function).

To realize the maximum benefits of touch, her sensory receptors present in the skin should sense the stimuli (touch) and send the information to the central nervous system (brain). Brain process the information and send information to the effector organ to produce the required response.

Processing of sensory information by the brain and to make the decision about the response is known as integration. During the motor function, information from the brain is carried to effector organs (skin, here) to produce the respective output.
