By manipulating DNA, genetic engineers can produce:

Medicines (Examples Insulins and Vaccines etc) High Yielding Crops. These may come with certain qualities such as disease resistance, longer shelf life, and if they are fruits may be much bigger than organically grown species due to their high nutrient conversion rates. Genetically Modified Animals. These may be pets or commercial animals. A cow may be genetically engineered to produce more milk or more beef or both. Just like plants, they can be modified to have quick yield and high feed conversion rates. Industrial Use Bacterial. Some bacterial can be modified for use in the production of biofuels, removing oil spills from water bodies or land masses, carbon and other toxic waste.

    Cheers!
