Explain why children with the same parents look different

    When a sperm and an egg meet, they undergo meiosis. Since meiosis is the creation of 4 unidentical daughter cells, they have alot of variation while having the same genes and alleles that their parents had (minus mutations)

    Variation also comes during meiosis through three main ways: 1, random fertilization of sperm and egg, 2, independent assortment, and 3, crossing over.
