Why is a volcano not alive?

    It depends.

    Explanation:

    Volcanoes are not alive. They just dispense lava (magma) as a result of high pressure. On the other sense, "alive volcano" is a synonym for an active volcano. Kilauea is an active, "alive" volcano while the Hawaiian-Emperor Seamount Chain is an extinct, "dead" volcano.

    Volcanoes just erupts to take the lava and the gas out.
