Natural habitats are becoming smaller and more disintegrated is a trend identified by the Convention on Biological Diversity.

    Explanation:

Biological Diversity convention is an agreement for the sustainable use of the environment. We are having many uses from nature like forests, mountains, rivers, etc. Due to the increase in globalization and population, the forests have been cut down for wood and land and the rivers and seawater were also exploited for the food and disposal of sewage.

These activities were not only harming the animal diversity living in those natural areas but also effecting the future climate of the earth and its ecosystem for animals and humans. Thus, an agreement was signed between the countries with three main objectives which are:

    1) the conservation of biological diversity

    2) the sustainable use of natural resources and

    3) fair and equal sharing of benefits from those genetic resources.
