    I'm pretty sure the answer is going to be transcription. RNA can be viewed as a readable form of DNA for the ribosome to then translate into a protein.

    In short, if DNA is being used as a template for mRNA, then it's transcription. If the RNA is being read to create a protein then it's translation.
