    True

    Explanation:

Veterinary science is a branch of medical sciences that deals with the control, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases affecting the health of animals (domestic and wild) with the prevention of disease transmission from animals to people. The importance of veterinary science lies in the fact that we interact with animals in the environment in three major ways.

food safety / pulic health: Humans eat animals for food and this food source must be free from pathogens to prevent transmission of diseases.

Animal health: Some animals are domesticated for the pleasure of humans while some are pests that cause harm to humans. our interaction with these animal can lead to transmission of disease as such why we need to study them.

Comparative medicine: Animals such as rats, chimpanzees are used as models to treat human diseases. Also, the diet of some animals are monitored to study the effect of food on build up of diseases in the body system.
