    A genetic code can be described as a code made up of triplet nucleotides which is used to determine the sequence of amino acids being formed from a particular gene sequence. There can be more than one genetic codon for a sinlge amino acid.

    For example, the genetic code for the amino acid asparagine (Asn) is AAT and AAC.
