Act as enzymes, receptors, transport molecules, regulatory proteins

    Explanation:

    major roles of proteins:

    1. Protein as enzymes:

Amino acids together make proteins, proteins together produce enzymes. Enzymes are basic element which has important role in speeding up a chemical reaction. Example: amylase

    2. Receptors:

The binding of ligand and receptors are carried out different proteins that are found in the cells. on binding of proteins, conformational change will occur which in turn activates various functions inside our body. Example: CO

    3. Regulatory proteins:

Regulatory proteins plays a vital role in expression of genes. they are the proteins that are found in the intact regions of DNA for the control of genes. These proteins are transcribed by RNA polymerase to during transcription.
