    The temperature of the air varies greatly during the day and very slightly during in oceans. This is because the temperature of the air varies more easily as compared to water.

    The particles in the air are far and hence it has less ability to resist change in the temperature so it changes.

    The particles of the water are too close together and thus water has high heat holding capacity so there is a slight change in the temperature of water as compared to air.
