A cytologist is examining tissue under an electron microscope. He notices that the endoplasmic reticulum of each cell is extremely rough because of the ribosomes embedded there. He is curious as to why there are so many ribosomes. What would your response be? he cell is getting ready to divide The cell needs to make large quantities of proteins The cell is packaging lipids All cells have large quantities of ribosomes.

    I would say either all cells have large quantities of ribosomes. Or The cell needs to make large quantities of proteins

    The cause for my ambiguity is neither seem like the best answer but there both true. meaning ribosomes do need to produce lots of proteins and they are responsible for doing that and all cells also have lots of ribosomes but some have more than others.
