Reye's Syndrome

Reye's syndrome is likely to occur in children who are diagnosed with viral infections. Reye's syndrome is rare but it is fatal as it causes swelling of the liver and brain. Studies have shown that antipyretic drugs, when given to children to cure headache or fever, causes this rare syndrome i. e Reye's syndrome.
