Cells divide by two processes termed as mitosis and meiosis. All the autosomal cells divide by the process of mitosis whereas the sex cells divide by the process of meiosis.

Cytokinesis is one of the most important aspects during cell division as it ensures that both the daughter cells get equal amounts of DNA.

During cytokinesis, the microfilaments which are made up of actin deepen the furrow due to which the cell is able to separate into two new daughter cells.
