Stomach is a muscular organ that plays an important role in food digestion. The structure of stomach makes it suitable to retain the food for longer in the body and for long time. The stomach is like short term shortage organ for food it allows us to eat a big food fast and deals with the digestion of the meal over a period of time as the action of digestive juices and enzymes in the stomach takes time for their action. This gives a sense of fullness of stomach for long and person does not crave for more food soon.
