At continent - continent convergence, folded mountains are produced.

    Explanation:

Continental crusts are floating and do not subduct. If in this case two continental plates collide with each other, they smash and raise the land to create mountains. These mountains which are created are fold mountains. e. g the Himalayas, the Appalachian mountains etc. Sometimes continental convergence cause massive earth quakes. Since the continental crust is quite thick it is far away from mantle and hence magma cannot come to the surface. Thus, no volcanoes are formed.
