    R-selected species survive in variable and unstable environments, whereas K-selected species live in stable situations. R-selection species produce several common offspring whereas K-selection species produce few rare offspring. R strategist is an organism undergo fast reproduction to sustain themselves as they in the variable environment whereas K strategist is an organism that does not need to undergo fast reproduction as they live in stable conditions.
