    Protozoan is a single cell organism from the group of phyla and they feed upon bacteria and sometimes also eat other protozoan to survive. They are mostly found in pond water. Some examples of protozoan are ciliate, amoeba, flagellate.

    Protozoan sometimes are useful in mineralizing nutrients by making them available for use for plants. They sometime also feed on fungi for food.
