    For as much as the ultimate result of meiosis is cells with a chromosome content of 1n, it is pertinent to understanding that one could argue that a simple division of the chromosomes existing in the 2n cell would result in the same outcome. Therefore each gamete of AaBbCc can end up with either of the alleles for each locus, so 2x2x2=8.
