The cross Ii x ii is expected to produce half with inflated and half with constricted pods.

    Explanation:

    Given

Inflated pea pods (I) is dominant to the allele for constricted pods (i)

Now if a cross is carried out between two pea plants with genotype

"Ii" and "ii". the following offspring will be produced-

    Ii x ii

    Ii, Ii, ii and ii

Hence out of four offspring, two have heterozygous inflated pea pods as their genotype is "Ii"

and remaining two offspring have homozygous constricted pea pod as their genotype is "ii"

Hence, the cross Ii x ii is expected to produce half with inflated and half with constricted pods.
