Canadian geese are breeding in diverse habitats in Canada and the United States. The nest is most often housed in elevated terrain near the water, sometimes at the American beaver cottage. The eggs are laid on a shallow recess in line with the plant material and the feathers from which the nest was built. In recent years, in some areas the number of Canadian geese has increased so much, that they are considered as pests, because of the bacteria in the feces and because of the noise they produce.
