The client may be suffering from a fractured nose.

The nose fractures generally result due to injuries attained at the time of falls, car crashes, sports activities, or physical assaults. A fracture in the nose may result in breathing difficulty.

Crepitus refers to the crackling of the skin on palpitation. Sinusitis refers to a swelling of the tissues lining the sinuses. In the infection of an upper respiratory tract, an itching and a stuffy nose may lead to difficulty in breathing. Though pain may not be present.
