    if the animal does not receive the same nutrition that it would in the wild, the animal will become weaker. If the climate of the zoo is very different than the animals natural habitat, they will struggle to maintain homeostasis. If a dolphin, for example, is in a tank that is too small, it will struggle to grow and develop.
