What happens when members from separated populations do not reproduce each other

    2 new species evolve over time.

    Say you have a group of 100 rabbits that get separated somehow and can't reproduce with each other, the rabbits on side A will become A breed or A species and the rabbits on the B side will become B breed or B species.

    Sorry if that doesn't make much sense, i'm not the best at explaining things.
