Compare the amount of ATP made during aerobic cellular respiration to the amount of ATP made during anaerobic cellular respiration, like lactic acid fermentation and alcohol fermentation.

a) Anaerobic cellular respiration produces 5 times as much ATP as Aerobic cellular respiration.

b) Anaerobic and Aerobic cellular respiration produce equal amounts of ATP.

c) Aerobic cellular respiration is much more efficient and producing ATP than Anaerobic cellular respiration.

    The answer is C. Because aerobic cellular respiration includes oxygen in the process, more ATP (specifically 36-38 ATP) is produced. Because anaerobic cellular respiration does not include oxygen in the process, it only produces 2 ATP.
