Insulin is a polypeptide hormone releases from the beta cells of pancreas. The hormones released from the pancreas regulates the blood glucose level in the human body.

The low level of glucose in blood is the main stimulation of release of insulin hormone in the blood. The insulin hormone stimulates glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis that increases the blood glucose level up to the normal level in the body.
