Lipids are made of two parts fats and oil.

Fats is further consists of glycerol and three fatty acid tails. A organic molecule of glycerol consists of hydroxyl group (OH group) and fatty acid contains long hydrocarbon chain which is linked to a carboxyl group (COOH group). Lipids are non-polar in nature and water insoluble.
